Nadeshiko, een middelbare scholier die van Shizuoka naar Yamanashi was verhuisd, besluit de beroemde berg Fuji te bezoeken. Hoewel het haar lukt om helemaal naar Motosu te fietsen, moet ze vanwege het verslechterende weer terugkeren. Ze kan haar ogen niet op haar doel richten en valt flauw halverwege haar bestemming. Als ze wakker wordt, is het nacht, op een plek waar ze nog nooit eerder is geweest, zonder dat ze weet hoe ze thuis moet komen. Nadeshiko wordt gered als ze Rin tegenkomt, een meisje dat alleen aan het kamperen is. Dit verhaal begint met deze eerste ontmoeting tussen Nadeshiko en Rin.
