Naru is een middelbare scholiere die in alle opzichten gemiddeld is. Ze houdt van sprookjesheldinnen, hoewel ze nooit de moed heeft gehad om aan haar gewone leven te ontsnappen. Op een dag ziet ze Hannah, een transferstudent, dansen in het maanlicht en raakt ze geïnspireerd om Yosakoi-dansen te leren.
