In het Deense toeristenplaatsje Hvide Sande wordt een jonge Duitse surfer op brute wijze vermoord. Een jaar later is de moord nog altijd niet opgelost. Undercoveragent Helene en rechercheur Thomas doen zich voor als echtpaar om zo te infiltreren in het dorp en de dader op te sporen.
